The most important reason people chose Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 is: Your hand sits in a more natural position because your forearm, wrist, and fingers form a straight line. I spent less than $70 for the 7000 keyboard and mouse bundle. You can get the MS Natural 4000 wired which is identical other than it not being wireless and the mouse doesn't come with it. The mouse is nice but on everyone I've owned (at least 4) the mouse stops working. I've replaced them with other vertical style mice and have not had issues.
Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center (MMKC) 2.8 (version supported on Windows 10) no longer recognizes the Natural 7000 keyboard, though it does recognize the Natural 4000 wired keyboard, which is an earlier model. The two models are essentially identical, but one is wireless and doesn't work, and the other is wired and does work.Even dumber, the Natural 7000 mouse works fine with MMKC 2.8, and the Natural 7000 Mouse and Keyboard come as a set that use the same dongle. Got myself a used 7000 set yesterday and bumped into the same issue.

I have the above mouse and keyboard. The mouse click will sometimes stop working in IE8. The pointer will move but it will not highlight and the click will not work. (For expmple I can not click on a link or close a tab) But if I use Ctrl, Alt, Deleteand start the task manager or even click cancel (the click won't work on the first try but it will work on the second click) It will start working again. I have all the updated drivers and other wireless mice work with no problems. Any Ideas why I reallydon't want to buy a new mouse. According to your description, I suspect that the issue is not related to the mouse or keyboard.
It should be an IE issue. The IE freezes when the issue occurs.I suggest you reset IE settings. If it does not work, troubleshoot in Clean Boot Mode.If the issue remains, click the Start Button, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). If the issue does not reoccur, it may be caused by an IE Add-on. In that case, let’s continue to perform thefollowing steps to narrow down the cause.Check Internet Explorer Add-Ons1. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.2.
Click the 'Programs' tab, and then click Manage Add-ons.3. Select an add-on in the Name list, and then click Disable.4. Restart IE with Add-ons and check the issue again. If the issue is resolved, the disabled Add-on was the cause of the issue. Grey warden armor mod.
If the issue reoccurs, continue to disable the next Add-on using the same method.By doing so, we could determine which Add-on contributed to the issue. Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
