With more than 9000 different cards and countless iconic moments from every era of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Animated series, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy Of The Duelist: Link Evolution is truly awesome.

Arriving exclusively for the Nintendo Switch this Summer, Link Evolution lets you relive some of the biggest Duels from the original series through Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, challenge other Duelists through local-play or Nintendo Online, and even compete in Battle Pack Sealed Pack and Draft formats. It’s everything a Duelist could want. And if that wasn’t enough, Link Evolution comes with some fantastic promo cards you can add to your real-life Dueling arsenal; three powerful picks that you won’t find anywhere else. From left to right, you’ll find the Cyberse search monster Micro Coder, a combo-building Continuous Spell called Cynet Codec, and a walking Monster Reborn for Link Monsters called Progleo. All three cards give Cyberse Duelists a major boost, and you can get yours when you pick up Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy Of The Duelist: Link Evolution starting August 20th. They’re even better with new cards from the upcoming Fists of the Gadgets booster set, but for now let’s talk about each card on their own. We’ll start with a miniature monster packing awesome abilities.Micro Coder’s a Cyberse-Type, so you can search it with cards like Lady Debug and Cynet Mining. Since it’s a Level 1 you can even Special Summon it straight from your Deck with One for One.

That’s important because its effects reward you for using it as Link Material in different ways.First up, you can use Micro Coder as Link Material for a “Code Talker” monster just by having Coder in your hand. There’s nothing stopping you from using it as Link Material from the field too, but its from-the-hand ability lets you make more Link Summons without using another Normal or Special Summon. If you search Micro Coder from your Deck to your hand you don’t have to wait around to use it. As long as you’re making a “Code Talker” Link Summon Micro Coder is ready to go.From there it has a super strong search effect: if Micro Coder is sent from your hand to the Graveyard to Link Summon a “Code Talker” monster, you can add a “Cynet” Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. Or, if Micro Coder was on the field when you used it as Link Material for your “Code Talker” you can still search a “Cynet” Spell or Trap, or get a Level 4 Cyberse monster instead. That means if you got Micro Coder onto the field you can search some of the Cyberse Deck’s best monsters: combo-building cards like Balancer Lord or Lady Debug among dozens of other options. But if you used Micro Coder as Link Material straight from your hand instead, you can still get incredible cards like Cynet Mining, Cynet Backdoor, or the powerful new Continuous Spell also packed with Link Evolution, Cynet Codec.Cynet Codec’s a repeatable searcher that can get you multiple cards each turn. If a “Code Talker” monster’s Special Summoned from the Extra Deck to your field, you can search your Deck for a Cyberse monster with the same Attribute and add it to your hand.So if you Summon the DARK Attribute Decode Talker you can grab something like Cyberse Synchron or Firewall Guardian.

Encode Talker is a LIGHT monster, so it can search everything from Backup Operator and Backup Secretary to Cyberse Converter and Cyberse Gadget. Transcode Talker’s EARTH Attribute opens up Widget Kid, Linkslayer and even Dotscaper, while Excode Talker and Powercode Talker can find you WIND options like Link Infra-Flier or FIRE monsters like Degrade Buster. You can’t use Cynet Codec to search for the same Attribute of monster more than once per turn. But if you make a long string of plays that take you from one “Code Talker” Link Monster to another, you can play through different Link Monsters to keep searching monsters of different Attributes. That sets up more Link Summons, which gets you more free cards, which sets up more Link Summons, and well You get the idea.

If you want a massive field and maybe an Extra Link, Micro Coder and Cynet Codec can get you there.Progleo’s a Cyberse-Type Link 2 you can Link Summon with any 2 monsters, except Tokens. Its Left and Right Link Arrows draw comparisons to Proxy Dragon and Ib the World Chalice Priestess, but they’re all very different cards. Progleo has a powerful Special Summoning effect that can turn the tables on your opponent.During your Main Phase, you can banish Progleo and 1 of your monsters it points to, then Special Summon any Link Monster from either player’s Graveyard.

You’ll banish that Link Monster if it ever leaves the field, but it’s an incredible way to recover some of the game’s greatest Link Monsters: think Borrelsword Dragon, Borreload Dragon, or Topologic Bomber Dragon. Progleo can work with whatever you’ve got, or swipe whatever your opponent lost.Cyberse decks have some great tricks with Progleo too.

If you banish Balancer Lord for Progleo’s effect you can use its ability to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster from your hand. If you banish Dotscaper you can Special Summon it right back to the field. Both cards help you make more plays to go along with your revived Link Monster.Micro Coder, Cynet Codec, and Progleo are powerful cards that any Duelist would want to collect, and getting them all for free with your copy of Yu-Gi-Oh!
